PREFERRED HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS

All primary communication with schools, parents, and teachers will be managed by the Study Coordinator and relayed to the DC. All communications with principals, teachers, and parents must recognize these individuals as the experts in the lives of the children we will be serving, and communications with children must be respectful of their growing abilities to self-regulate. Further, the DC will need to have and be willing to further their skills in establishing a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere for children, families, and staff representing diversity across race, class, religion, gender and sexual preference identification, and proactively crafting efforts to reduce barriers to equal project participation that these and other groups may face.
