Data Architect ConsultantWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Architect to work as a consultant for our Software Engineering team. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, supporting implemention and managment of the organization's Data Architecture to ensure efficient and effective storage, retrieval, and analysis of data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, database design, and a deep understanding of the latest trends and technologies in the field.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand data requirements and define Data Architecture goals.
- Design and support implemention of scalable and high-performance database solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across different databases.
- Optimize and tune existing data & database systems for performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain data models that reflect business processes and meet the organization's information needs.
- Define and implement standards for data modeling to ensure consistency and reusability.
- Develop strategies for the integration of data from various sources, ensuring seamless and accurate data flow.
- Implement and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data movement.
- Establish and enforce data management & data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the organization's Data Architecture.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling and database design principles; experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms is a must.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with agile software development practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain and discuss data related concepts with colleagues and customers.
The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following:
- Extensive knowledge of wind plant data, wind turbine design, or operations of a wind plant.
- Deep Experience with AWS data warehouse and ETL tools such as Redshift, Glue, Data Pipeline etc. to efficiently and effectively manage data and their transformations.
