Job description

The Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations is excited to expand our team of professionals and hire a Data and Quality Analyst. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures related to information technology (IT) systems that support the corporate and charities filings in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!

As the Data and Quality Analyst, you will collect, prioritize, and analyze compiled information and existing documentation, and research best practices and new initiatives applicable to bureau programs and systems. You will develop analytical documents and comprehensive reports of findings, related to business initiatives, to make recommendations and/or determine solutions for program and system enhancements and/or development. Findings will be presented to the supervisor, IT and program area staff, and executive staff.


Excellent interpersonal skills are exercised regularly, as you will function as the liaison between IT partners, vendors, and the bureau, as well as provide technical support for staff. We are looking for someone who is proficient in Azure and structured query language (SQL) and is able to stay current on the latest industry trends and technologies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or

  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • One year of experience as a data analyst or project manager.
