What You'll Do:
The Principal Global Investors (PGI) Assets Under Management (AUM) team is seeking a technically savvy Senior Associate Accountant to provide technical support with an emphasis on Data and Controls for various internal systems and processes! How you'll spend your time:
- Perform monthly tasks in a timely manner. This includes loading data files to our various internal reporting tool (assets and revenue) and validating results
- Maintaining our forecasting tool. This includes data loads, controls, validations, and processes.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve process and data related issues within forecasting tool.
- Apply technical abilities to update and maintain MDX script within the forecasting tool.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve processes, mitigate risks, and enhance controls.
- Assist team in data-driven projects and ad hoc requests in an agile environment.
- Collaborate with various teams across PFG to ensure all of our reporting tools are operating efficiently and effectively, provide strong communication, and deliver results.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience required. Double major or a minor in an IT related field is a plus.
- 2+ years of related experience preferred.
- Exposure to basic programming and relational databases (SQL, MDX).
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Good interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to accept and adapt to a changing environment.
Work Environment
This role offers the ability for in-office and hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
