Overview

We are seeking a Data Analytics Product Manager, Technical Applications Specialist, who will be responsible for managing EHC's portfolio of Analytics Products including Power BI, R Studio, and other analytics tools and solutions. They are responsible for managing products throughout the product lifecycle where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and working closely with technical team to deliver winning products.

  • Build and manage relationships with customers and stakeholders across the Emory Analytics community as well as within the Data Analytics team 
  • Act as a subject matter expert of assigned product who works to understand customer problems and desired outcomes and orchestrate the entire life cycle of the product including conceptualization, product development, launch, growth, maturity, and retirement 
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap for each Analytics Product for which they are responsible and work with the Data Analytics Program Manager to publish a program roadmap. 
  • Facilitate a quarterly Strategy Session to update the Analytics Product and Program roadmaps. 
  • Define and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for each Analytics Product and the overall product portfolio 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Data Analytics technical team on business requirements and delivery of data solutions 
  • Identify and communicate high-level acceptance criteria necessary to complete the application to development teams 
  • Collaborate with the Data Literacy Manager to prepare for and participate in BI Steering Committee meetings to prioritize Data Analytics requests  
  • Represent the Data Analytics team in the IS Project Prioritization process including collaborating with key stakeholders to develop a business case for projects  
  • Communicate with customers including regular product updates and launch communications 
  • Implement strategies to ensure a common user experience across Analytics Products and improve customer satisfaction 
  • Communicate with stakeholders, senior management, and project leaders to review progress, discuss issues and resolutions and to authorize scope changes 
  • Help digest business issues and identify use cases for analytic solutions across the landscape (Epic, PowerBI, RStudio, AWS, etc.) 

 

 

Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Uses technical skills and provides guidance and direction in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex production information systems.
  • Conducts research in automation techniques to improve application performance, efficiency, and testing.
  • Determines and performs testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Adheres to internal controls and standards established for department.
  • Provides assistance in isolating and solving problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware infrastructure.
  • Plans and coordinates programming projects within a particular work group.
  • Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.
  • Assists and advises subordinate personnel in the solution of highly technical and complex problems and solutions.
  • Functions as a senior programming consultant in advanced computer technology and architecture.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Seven years of application systems/administration experience OR One year of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Must be proficient in at least three computer languages used currently in production.
  • Must be able to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration.
  • Must have good business skills.
  • Must be able to lead problem solving efforts when mission critical systems are interrupted.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

Additional Details

Technical Apps Specialist I-IV - $23.80 - $74.52/hr. The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.
