Position Summary
Mountain West Technologies is a growing Wyoming internet provider. We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our innovative team. Under the direction of the Compliance and Engineering Team Leads, the Data Analyst is responsible for collecting and submission of data for regulatory and federal filings, compliance requirements, and various data requests for business and operational needs and analysis. Data Analyst will also integrate into the engineering department to assist as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to get a strong understanding of business and subscriber coverage data requests.
- Design, build and support tools or processes to ease data gathering and report processing with strong documentation.
- Implement and assist the Engineering team with data analysis and support existing CI/CD pipeline.
- Gather data and prepare submissions to the established schedule of regulatory filings.
- Perform research and keep current with industry trends and regulatory changes, interpret impact and make recommendations devise solutions for compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes and help develop a course of action and proper response.
- Ability to make repeatable, scalable processes within the Data and Compliance Team.
- Use data mining to extract information from data sets, identify correlations and patterns, and to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
- Organize and transform information into comprehensible structures
- Prepare reports and present these to management or clients; Communicate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
- Assist with systems management, integration and development
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Networking, Statistics, Mathematics or other fields; or 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and a strong background in Python, SQL, QGIS, Git, Excel and integration with system APIs.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to distill detailed, lengthy documents and legal notices.
- Self-starter, motivated to contribute to team goals, collaborative, works well in a team environment
- We are requiring this position to be located in Casper, WY
- 4 years relevant experience minimum or Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Networking, Statistics, Mathematics or other related fields

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
