SUMMARY:

The Data Analyst will be a part of a dynamic group that to develop modern data-driven analysis, dashboards and reports. This role will develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and catalogs for the business. This role is expected to help visualize trends, display actionable business insights, calculate data metrics, and refine key performance indicators. Applicants should be passionate about data, visualization, and solving complex problems. This position is also responsible for the project management and execution of reporting activities. They will help stakeholders define the project scope and objectives, utilize project management tools and agile processes to drive results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develops and maintains reports and dashboards, within PowerBI, that support the entire business.
  • Develops repeatable/streamlined reporting services leveraging a variety of datasets and connections.
  • Links data between disparate data sets.
  • Builds customer facing reporting, working with stakeholders to articulate value. Maintain reporting and access for clients.
  • Develops ad hoc reports, presentations, data visualization views, and summary findings utilizing appropriate analytic tools to meet the needs of Avel eCare stakeholders.
  • Collects customer and market feedback on new products using sound surveying methodologies. Provides data driven recommendations on new product launches.
  • Utilizes project management tools and agile methodologies to drive team performance and cross-team coordination. Collect and interpret requirements and opportunities from stakeholders. Report out final product. Regularly review and update the team’s worklist.
  • Supports efforts to improve the day-to-day systems for Avel eCare. Streamline work processes with system solutions, maximize innovations and work collaboratively to provide quality seamless systems functionality and capability.
  • Understands the opportunities and limits of the available data sets. Recommend enhancements to the data collection tools to improve visibility of product performance. Work with data source owners as assigned to correct source data as necessary and facilitate communication of those changes to end users of the system and product data.
  • Ensures consistent use of data within source dictionaries. Work with leadership to address source data discrepancies when identified and coordinates resolution with the appropriate Data Analyst team leaders or other source data owners. Support Data Master projects.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or statistics required; or bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst required.
  • 1-year professional Data Analyst experience or related internship experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data manipulation required.
  • Knowledge of health care delivery system preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and MS Power BI or comparable data analysis and visualization tools required.
  • Demonstration of strong analytical, critical thinking, and computational skills
