Job Responsibilities

• Independently analyzes CDTFA registration data to confirm that it accurately reflects where companies are operating and/or engaging in taxable sales activity.

• Cross-references data from a variety of sources, including (but not limited to) city business license files, telephone directories, individual company websites, business journals, Yelp and Google.

• Compare and analyze large data sets to isolate opportunities for revenue enhancement for local government clients.

• Perform initial research of discrepancies to further refine potential lead lists.

• Documents research and findings within the company’s proprietary software applications.

Qualifications

• Strong research & analytical skills, with the ability to spot relevant trends, anomalies, and opportunities in large sets of data.

• Strong computer skills, with the ability to effectively use a variety of software programs including HdL sales and property tax applications and Microsoft Office.

• A demonstrated ability to work independently with a very high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Open-minded and receptive to constructive feedback, maintains a humble and approachable demeanor.

• Professionally assertive with a positive attitude and commitment to the team goals and objectives.

Education and Experience

• High school Diploma
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

Compensation

The starting base salary for this Brea position is expected to be between $19 to $21 /per hour. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
