Emprise is the industry leader in Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring by offering a wide set of capabilities that allow us to provide premier products and services that help our clients operate more effectively and efficiently.  We’re looking for an eConsole Field Services Engineer based out of either our Chesapeake, Virginia office or Ledyard, Connecticut office.


Responsibilities:

  • Visit vessels pier side to perform eConsole installation and configuration. eConsole is an innovative data collection system that allows ships to be monitored, operated, and maintained at the highest standards. 
  • Diagnose and resolve software configuration problems from remote locations.
  • Request support from technical service centers when on-site procedures fail to solve installation or maintenance problems.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to perform installations and operational activities.
  • Coordinate amongst multiple organizations to ensure all pre-installation requirements are met to allow a fully operational system upon install, Develop, update training material and guides.
  • Provide shipboard training on programs and systems being installed.
  • Respond to help calls remotely and/or onsite shipboard.
  • Coordinate amongst multiple organizations to troubleshoot and resolve all system issues.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality policies.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent, technical training preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD clearance, CAC, TWIC, and passport.
  • Willing and able to travel, including CONUS and OCONUS locations:
  1. Current passport.
  2. Average approximately 72 travel days per year.
  3. Trips are generally 2 weeks or less, but may be longer depending on scenario and location.
  4. While rare, travel may be at short notice due to ship schedules being fluid.
  5. Willing to work non-standard hours when travelling.
  • Aptitude to understand and interpret detailed technical information, to include training of new staff
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform work onboard ships while underway but usually performed pier side
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows administration, computer networks, machinery control systems and network components .


Desired Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ (will assist qualified applicants to achieve)
  • Experience with software installation
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
