Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance
Role Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the cybersecurity posture of a newly developing system by implementing, monitoring, and optimizing security measures. You will be well-versed in preparing, implementing, and enforcing cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with Assessment and Authorization requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, implementing, and upgrading cybersecurity measures to bolster cyber defense and maintain a resilient network. You will also be responsible for assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, identifying potential risks, and proposing appropriate remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will ensure that robust security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure. In the event of a computer security breach, you will be tasked with re-establishing protections, making necessary reports, and collaborating with the organization's incident response team to contain and resolve the security incident.

Specific Skillset
- Implement, monitor, and optimize security measures to shield the organization's network and digital assets.
- Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities, pinpoint potential risks, and propose appropriate remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
- Guarantee robust security controls are in place to protect digital files and electronic infrastructure.
- Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to strengthen cyber defense and maintain a resilient network.
- Prepare, implement, and enforce cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Respond to computer security breaches, re-establish protections, write necessary reports, and collaborate with the incident response team.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new security initiatives and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like IT, engineering, and operations to ensure comprehensive security posture.
- Perform security audits and penetration testing to proactively identify and address weaknesses.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity, or a related field
- A Master's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- CompTIA Security + (Sec+)
- Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I
Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of cybersecurity experience.
- Experience supporting the development of C4ISR solutions.
- Experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Experience demonstrating the ability to plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network; assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies; ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure; and respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
