Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.
- Primary responsibilities can include identifying and assisting in the remediation of threats, vulnerabilities, and maturing our security awareness training program.
- Monitor systems and address tickets related to threats and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to information security policies and standards, procedures and other documentation as needed to improve information security capabilities.
- Create meaningful metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of security controls and security team operations.
- Participate in security architecture reviews, third-party risk management reviews, and compliance review.
- Generate security related artifacts as needed to meet internal and external compliance requirements.
- Keep abreast of industry news, guidance, and threat feeds.
- Awareness of basic Cybersecurity concepts, threats, and attack vectors
- Pursuing a degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Information Assurance.
- Working towards one or more of the following certifications:
- IT Fundamentals, Network+, A+, Security+, SSCP.
The market range for Shockwave Summer Internships is $23.00-25.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on undergraduate class standing.
