phia is seeking a Cyber Vulnerability Assessment Analyst to support cyber defense operations at a large Federal agency. This position is focused on Cyber Vulnerability discovery, analysis, mitigation and remediation as part of a comprehensive Security Operations Center (SOC).  Join us at the forefront of cybersecurity excellence, and seize the opportunity for professional growth with full remote flexibility! What You'll Do
    • Support comprehensive Vulnerability Assessments (architecture, network, system, application) across the agency enterprise.
    • Conduct security scans, examine system configurations, and review documentation.
    • Collaborate with system owners and administrators to ensure appropriate visibility and determine effective remediation.
    • Assist in the preparation of Vulnerability Assessment reports that detail findings and recommended remediation.
    • Follow, continuously evaluate, and work to enhance and optimize vulnerability management processes and capabilities.
    • Collaborate with sub-component organizations and external entities.
    • Ensure regular communication with the team through meetings and workflow management.
    • Prepare reports on incidents, threat landscapes, and Vulnerability Assessments.
    • Facilitate communication, coordination, and collaboration with agency stakeholders.
Education + Requirements
    • 7 years of related professional experience, or
    • Associates degree + 5 years of related experience, or
    • Bachelor's degree + 3 year of related experience
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to express technical concepts and operational details in relevant ways to non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, follow defined processes, and adapt to dynamic operational needs.
Security Clearance
    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • Ability to achieve Public Trust or higher
Desired
    • Demonstrated experience with a variety of vulnerability scanning, assessment and management technologies (e.g. Nessus, Tenable, Acunetix, Qualys, etc.)
    • Experience supporting a remote work environment
    • Experience in a cyber/security operations environment.
    • Familiarity with incident response products and best practices
    • Customer service experience
Desired Certifications
    • GIAC Enterprise Vulnerability Assessor (GEVA)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified SOC Analyst (CSA)
    • CompTIA Security+
    • EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA)
