This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge in the fields of Cybersecurity, Computer Systems, and Network.

Duration: 10 weeks, Paid Internship

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Monitor the cybersecurity intake system and inbox.
  • Monitoring of the various cybersecurity tools and performing log analysis – assisting the cybersecurity team with the monitoring of security tools, log reviews, and analyzing incidents.
  • Identify malware/viruses, remediate malware/viruses, and perform rudimentary analysis.
  •  Assist in preparation and documentation of standard operating procedures and protocols by helping and reducing the workload of the cybersecurity team.
  • Work with other team members such as Infrastructure, Application Development, and Product Owners to ensure that security measures align with the organization’s policies and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Completion of at least sophomore year in college, majoring in MIS, Computer Science, System Administration or Cybersecurity.
  •  Understanding of general informational technology concepts (research, troubleshooting, testing, validation, status updates, documentation)
  •  Understanding of general cybersecurity concepts and terminology.
  •  Understanding of general systems and networking concepts.
  •  General Office Software (MS Office, M365, Zoom).
  •  Good communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to prioritize work on multiple projects. 
  •  Self-motivated, excited about learning, comfortable working in collaborative environment characterized by open sharing of feedback to achieve optimum outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • The position is part of the Technology Team. The Cybersecurity Intern will have the opportunity to work with a variety of systems, from traditional office applications, sophisticated security systems, networking, web, and other technology. 
  •  This position may work with outside parties, including vendors. This position will require no travel to meet those needs.

  •  Hybrid work environment, offering a blend of virtual/work from home and onsite days designed to support flexibility.
  • Professional office environment/desk assignment 
  • Extensive use of PCs, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse 
  • Extensive close work with documents, publications, databases, and spreadsheets 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Compensation: $20.00/Hr
