Kolter Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Cyber Security Engineer will assist with facilitating, upgrading, maintaining, and expanding our rapidly growing network infrastructure services.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering preferred; high school diploma with 7 years of equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Industry certifications such as, but not limited to: A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, CCNA, CASP+, CISSP, etc.

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of professional work experience, required.
• 1-2 years working on large-scale multi-site networks, preferred.

• Applicants should be well-rounded in their understanding and application of different security and technology platforms; in areas such as networking, endpoint, IoT, identity, data, monitoring, cloud, or application security.
• Qualified candidates need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, design and build secure solutions, drive cybersecurity values and principles via influence and relationships into business processes, keep up with current security trends, be results-focused, and be a self-starter with a positive attitude.
• P ossess a breadth of knowledge and experience across the information security domain, with familiarity in a combination of endpoint, email, network, identity management, cloud security, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Researches and resolves problems and questions regarding information security-specific devices as well as other hardware and software used in the network. Works with vendor technical support personnel to resolve production or testing issues.
• Leads the development of security and operational procedures and processes while conforming to proper change management techniques. Modifies and implements new methods as appropriate.
• Ensures cloud infrastructure service designs and configurations are maintained in accordance with security standards.
• Solid foundation in overall security standards, security policy creation, and security audits.
• Ability to lead a project from concept through implementation and anticipate potential problems.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex technical manuals and reference materials.
• Firsthand experience designing, architecting, and implementing various information security tools/products such as Firewalls, SIEM, MFA, SSO, Privileged Identity Management, etc.
• Experience with information security frameworks such as MITRE, NIST, OWASP, etc.
• Ability to think creatively and to 'think evil.' Capable of conducting pen tests on applications, systems, and networks utilizing proven/formal processes and industry standards.
• Ability to effectively communicate both technical and business requirements.
• Must have solid attention to detail, labeling, and record-keeping of installations.

• The Cyber Security Engineer will assist with facilitating clean-up, upgrading, maintaining, and expanding our rapidly growing network infrastructure services.
• Managing and monitoring all systems and network infrastructure, including, but not limited to the following software/platforms:

• Freshservice Configuration for Cyber Security

• Adobe
• Microsoft
• AD-Cleanup

• Determine and plan the use of new security technology for efficient operations.
• Ability to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to help conduct routine operations in a clear and consistent manner.
• Responsible for protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks securing highly sensitive data.
• Lead the development and maintenance of the technical IT/cyber capabilities including all phases of the software development lifecycle and software stack.
• Focus proactively on the cloud operations and help mitigate any security-related threats or vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the ongoing development of security architecture identifying areas of opportunity, researching alternatives, and recommending solutions.
• Utilize modern programming languages (Python scripts, Go, Ruby, Java, etc.) to build or enable desired cyber capabilities. High focus on tool integration, automation, and reporting capabilities, leveraging existing industry best practices like API-first design.
• Ability to collaborate comfortably with providers and vendors and clearly communicate the nature and priority of needs.
• Assist the Senior Network Engineers with developing, monitoring, and implementing network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems.
• Lead the implementation of new information security technologies or integration of existing technologies including initial configuration, installation, change management, and operational handoffs, such as inventory management, logging & intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, and identity and access management.
