Job description

Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Security Engineering, Associate that will serve as a Cyber Interface Vulnerability Researcher performing custom cyber tool development and conducting RF interface and data bus test and evaluation on avionics systems while supporting our Federal Government client on-site at the Patuxent River, MD location.
Responsibilities
  • Working closely with our government customer, perform Cyber Interface Vulnerability research on RF interfaces (e.g. GPS, ACARS, ADSB, IFF), MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, and CAN data buses
  • Design, develop, enhance and maintain custom cyber tools for test and evaluation of avionics systems

Required Qualifications
  • 10 years' experience in performing vulnerability research of RF interfaces, and avionics related data buses to include knowledge of various RF and data bus protocols
  • Experience coding in C, C , and/or Java
  • Experience coding in Python
  • Experience working with and programming Software Defined Radio (SDR) devices
  • Experience in computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems test and evaluation
  • Candidate must meet Cyber Security Workforce Certification Requirements (e.g. CompTIA Security , ISC2 CISSP, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DoD weapons systems and/or test and evaluation software development and/or DoD systems network infrastructure and software development, analysis and maintenance desired.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer engineering or computer science from an ABET accredited college. A Master's degree in a related technical discipline may be substituted for five (5) years of experience (e.g. a 10 year experience requirement may be satisfied with a Master's degree and 5 years of experience).
Clearance
All applicants for this position must possess a current Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain a Top-Secret clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $107,026 - $160,540 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
