Cyber Analytics and Countermeasures Engineer

The Opportunity: 

As a cyber professional, understanding adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures is vital to producing the intel that enables the success of organizations. As an Analytics and Countermeasures Engineer, you shall be trusted to help customers solve problems using a wide variety of techniques. You shall support the research and development of new cyber analytic capabilities that will assist the customer protect and defend its networks and critical information systems. The successful candidate will support a large federal cyber security analytic program -- contributing to the knowledge of how cyber-attacks work, how vulnerabilities are exploited, and how hostile cyber actors operate. The successful candidate will also analyze and understand data to identify anomalies and assist with prototyping future cyber capabilities for implementation at large-scale.

You will work with customers and SMEs to evolve, automate, and enhance cybersecurity capabilities, and provide software engineering development and support. In this role, you shall impact the exciting and rapidly evolving domain of space systems cybersecurity while developing greater breadth and depth of cybersecurity knowledge.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development

  • 3+ years of experience with Python development

  • 2+ years of experience with development in AWS serverless architecture

  • 1+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in analytics, such as file, network, or host-based

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in designing countermeasures to identified security risks and determining the security controls of information systems, networks, or software components

  • Experience with secure test plan design, such as unit, integration, system, and acceptance

  • Experience with developing applications running on Big Data platforms

  • Experience developing advanced dashboards

  • Experience with network monitoring tools

  • Experience within Cloud environments

  • Experience in developing real- or near real-time automation

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Knowledge of secure software deployment methodologies, tools, and practices

  • AWS certification, such as Developer, DevOps, or Application Architect, and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) or higher certification level preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
