BPN is seeking CVOR Surgical Tech to fulfill a 13 week contract at a facility in Charlotte, NC.

Job Summary

Facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.

Contract Details:

13 week travel contract

Shifts available: 3x12s, Days

Estimated weekly gross pay= $2,520 (w/ travel stipend included)

Essential Functions

Possesses a thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application

Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure

Assists Registered Nurse circulator in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments, equipment and proper disposition of all specimens; assists with all aspects of room turnover

Performs duties according to department policy and procedure

Monitors surgical supplies for sterility prior to use and ensures that supplies are used in a judicious manner, charges are documented/submitted accurately and appropriately

Monitors and documents sterilization activities for completion.

Requirements

2-3+ years of recent CVOR Surgical tech experience

BLS AHA

Must be certified scrub tech competent in scrubbing open heart surgery including CABG and valves.

Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology required or successful completion of military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
