SalaryPenn Sheet Metal, based in Allentown, PA, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, punctual, detail-oriented person to fill our full-time Cutting Services position. We work in the fabrication of industrial components and architectural metals. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a commercial fabrication shop setting.
Qualifications:
- Prior knowledge and operation of CNC machinery.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and CNC programming.
- Ability to understand and read blueprints.
- Experience reading measuring tools such as mics, tape measures, and other measuring instruments.
- Computer and technical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
- Daily requirements include operation/ maintenance of Water Jet and CNC Router table.
- Other job duties include putting away stock inventory of sheets, keeping tools and accessories in proper shape, unloading of trucks, and basic programming (if needed) among other things.
- Must be reliable with a strong ability to multitask, organizational skills, work independently, and adapt to changes in scheduling.
- Must be mechanically inclined for maintenance of machines.
- Forklift experience is a must.
- Possess the ability to be on one’s feet for the shift and be able to lift 55+ pounds.
