Cutting Expeditor

The Cutting Expeditor role requires the ability to follow directions and has acute attention to detail, and frequently uses basic math skills. The Cutting Expeditor works directly with the Cutting Lead and Cutting Supervisor to keep the Production Cutters on track in a very fast paced production environment.

Shifts available: Wednesday through Friday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm

A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:

• a high school diploma or GED
• previous work experience in printing, print operations, cutting, or machine operations a plus but not required

On top of that you must:

• pay close attention to details on every project
• have basic computer skills, including ePace and Google
• be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
• have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
• complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
• apply effective time management and self-management skills
• understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information

In this position you'll:

• maintain production schedules for ongoing projects, assign materials and operators to ensure timely delivery.
• direct Material Handlers to the needs and resources of the department.
• communicate effectively with the production team (print, cutting, lam, finishing and kitting) to ensure jobs are on schedule and have been received appropriately.
• ensure the scheduling team is set up for success by actively communicating with scheduling regarding any adjustments needed for the current workload and staffing capacity.
• reply to project management questions inquiring about ETS’s for specific jobs on the floor.
• seek opportunities to improve the flow on the production floor.
• seek opportunities to increase operators’ charged vs. paid percentage.
• perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.
