Job description

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a CVA Analyst in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The CVA Analyst is responsible for working in coordination with Fleet Services, CVA, Product Support and Sales teams to create quotes for CVA Agreements (Parts Kits, PM's, and TM&Rs), PSE's (Rebuilds, Undercarriage) and Opportunities generated from Condition Monitoring (Inspections, Recommendations from Fleet Monitoring). The CVA Analyst uses Carter's quoting system and leverages standard jobs to create pricing documentation that is used for contractual agreements submitted by Sales representatives.  In addition, as asset data is proactively monitored, opportunity cases will be build in conjunction with the Fleet Monitoring team.  Seeking career-minded candidates with high mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical information.  Background in Earthmoving and Mining industry or a related technical field preferred.  Some college course work a plus. 

Requirements for the CVA Analyst position include:

  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; work with SHO on Standard Job accuracy and completion.  Support CVA Administrators as back up and provide supporting data when needed for metrics.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented; work with CVA Administrators on quoting timeliness and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to function well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient or with a strong aptitude to learn, Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Caterpillar CVA Tracking systems, DBS, BMTS, SalesForce.
  • Strong analytical aptitude.

Physical requirements must be met for the CVA Analyst job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.  Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
