This position can be a remote position provided the candidate is located in the US.
The Customer Support Engineer will be part of a Digital Support Engineering team delivering software solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of advanced applications for energy management systems including application integration, support and tuning in the power system domains (network generation).
- Responsible for resolving customer product, configuration, and application issues. May include travel.
- Install, maintain, or support e-terra AEMS products including RTNET, State Estimation, CA, DTS and Generation applications.
- Perform Power System applications integration, tuning, results analysis, and defect analysis as required.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Experience in Energy Management Systems or related areas (specifically applications software deployment for network applications such as Power flow analysis, state estimator, or training simulator)
- Familiarity with User Interface, SCADA, and Network Modeling tools.
- Knowledge of both transmission and distribution electrical grids.
- Ability to travel as required (10-20%).
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Experience working at a customer site
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
