Summary
Receives, processes, and directs calls from customers acting as the first point of contact to take orders, answer questions, suggest products, resolve conflict, and take payments.
Duties include:
- Answering the phone in a timely manner to take orders and/or payments and answer questions about products
- Entering customer, dumpster, and payment information into computer system
- Directing phone calls and inquiries to the correct team member
- Building sustainable relationships with customers
- Handling complaints by providing solutions and alternatives if possible
- Contacting customers to let them know delivery times or other information
- Monitoring email mailboxes in ensure quick responses and/or solutions
- Keeping accurate records of customer interactions, customer accounts and file documents
- Maintaining customer databases
- Reconciling weight tickets
Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills with the ability to handle multiple programs and systems.
- Must be highly organized and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate effectively and professionally via email and phone. Must be able to successfully multi-task and remain calm when dealing with customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent. 6-month relevant work experience is preferred.
