Required Skills:
1. Back up and Park Trailers
2. Must be able to drive and connect box trucks to auto trailers.
3. Driving 16' and 26' Box trucks to and from various locations.
4. Working outdoors required.
5. Some lifting required.
6. Data entry/Keyboard/typing
7. Customer service skills/problem solving.
8. Supervisory experience preferred.
9. Available Weekends and Sundays are required.
Hopper Management allows candidates to learn the skills required to become a business owner as an Independent Operator for Avis Budget Group, or to become a manager or supervisor with Hopper Management or Avis Budget Group.
What you’ll do:
- Put a smile on our customers’ faces when you provide them with excellent service
- Help expedite the car or truck rental process so customers can get to their destination quickly and easily
- Assist customers to their rental vehicle and explain features so they are comfortable with the vehicle prior to exiting the location
- Secure vehicle keys from the customer upon return and confirm necessary documentation and checks are performed as needed
- Ensure vehicle is ready for the next customer by inspecting and recording for new damages and checking gas levels and mileage
- Car and Truck Rentals. Car and truck detailing, washing, and cleaning
- Must be able to drive and connect box trucks to auto carriers. This includes backing up, parking, and disconnecting auto carriers from trucks. (Preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience)
What we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- College Degree Preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Flexibility to work days, weekends and holidays. Weekends required.
- Willingness to work outdoor in weather conditions with moderate noise level
- Basic computer skills (typing, data entry)
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills with customers, co-workers and management
- Seeking career minded person. Advancement opportunities to Agency manager, Agency Operator, and other management or supervisory opportunities with Avis Budget Group or Hopper Management inc.
* Sales, including offering upgrades, insurance and other counter products to customers at the counter during the rental process.
