Customer Service Representative

Compensation: $16-$19/hour
Job Description:
The Customer Service Representative is a crucial role serving as the glue that connects and translates the needs of Storage Scholars' clients to the entire company. This position is responsible for ensuring quick and thoughtful responses to clients and potential new clients alike. The department's success has a drastic impact on the conversion rate of prospects, the retention rate of customers in subsequent years, and the company's image in terms of reviews and public image.

What you will be doing:
- Familiarizing and Training on Zendesk – Our all-inclusive ticketing system that allows inquiries to be combined across mediums (Email, SMS, Call, Social Messaging, Live Chat).
- Fielding inbound prospects – Assisting potential clients in getting quotes, booking moves, and more!
- Coordinating with our operations and campus teams to document and get special client requests fulfilled - No matter how much we prepare, there will always be requests that fall outside the norm! Our job is to ensure clients' needs are met and that the job is executed properly. We don't say “We Can't.” We say “How can we?”
- Analyzing Photo Inventory - by campus against co-founder input to ensure accurate billing and reduce invoice issues.
Scope:
- An average of 15-30 hours per week with the ability to flex up to 40 hours during our peak move weeks of April 15th-June 15th and July 15th-September 1st.
- The ability to work a flex schedule on evenings and weekends.
- Preferred Start Date: Mid-March
- Estimated End of Contract: Mid-September
- A computer/laptop or tablet with a strong wifi connection is required.
- Our business is seasonal and we will be looking for part-time and full-time CS team members in early 2025, but can not guarantee hours or an offer of permanent employment.

How Our Core Service Works:
Customers sign up on our web portal to schedule services on their respective campuses. Packing supply kits are shipped out to students as requested. The student packs their items, uploads a few photos of our portal, selects their desired insurance, locks it in their room, and can leave at will. Thanks to our partnership with the university, our staff comes in once the campus is vacant and moves all of the student belongings into a storage facility for the summer. The best part is that the items will be ready and waiting in the customer's new housing assignment whenever they return.
