- Greet and welcome patients as they enter the clinic to create a great first impression
- Collect new patient intake information; track all clinic and patient referrals
- Handle patient scheduling; coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders and cancellations
- Fax reports to physicians; keep a log of incoming reports
- Verify Insurance and review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
- Track insurance-covered visits and take copayments
- Send benefits paperwork to billing companies; keep track and follow up on outstanding claims
- Communicate with the other team members about scheduling/patient arrivals
- Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, distributing mail to proper areas/people
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Positive, compassionate, detail-oriented communicator with excellent multi-tasking capabilities
- Basic computer skills including email navigation and downloading/uploading files
- Competent in Excel and Word
- Team player, eager to learn and willing to help wherever needed
