Customer Service Representative

A Torrance based Manufacturing and Engineering company has an exciting opening for a Customer Service/Order Entry to complement their existing staff.  

This position is responsible for directly supporting the customer with the goal of promoting customer satisfaction and account growth, while helping manage customer activities and programs.

This position may include but are not limited to:

·       Engage with customers on behalf of the company.

·       Answer phone calls or emails from customers. Participate in customer meetings as needed.

·       Enter customer orders, validating for accuracy (e.g., pricing, conformance to minimum order requirements, shipping instructions, terms and conditions, quality clauses, etc.) provide acknowledgement, notify of changes to orders, and coordinate with other areas of the business to expedite and track orders.

·       Ensure that all relevant customer information is included in the sales order package (e.g., worksheet traveler, drawing, in-process inspection documents, PO, etc.,).

·       Assist in resolving other areas of customer concerns, such as product complaints, late orders, and expedites.

     Participate in bi-weekly Production Planning Meetings by communicate customer order status. Identify issues / concerns between: Purchasing, Production, Shipping, Quality, and other Departments as it relates to Customer Satisfaction.    Assist in other areas of the organization. Identify and implement changes to improve order processes and accuracy.

·       Monitor customer portals used to communicate RFQ’s, POs as required. Ensure that all Customer Service activity conforms to the requirements of relevant standards and specifications.

Required Skills: This position requires Microsoft Office computer skills (Internet, email, word, excel). Also, phone skills necessary to process and communicate requirements. May include but are not limited to: MRP, house data systems, and the ability to operate office equipment needed to execute this function.
