A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP - TECHNICIAN DISPATCHER

As a Customer Service Rep - Technician Dispatcher, you are the cheerful voice and helpful personality who provides critical assistance to both our customers and technicians. Every day, you manage incoming calls from clients who want to ask about our plumbing and HVAC services and schedule work appointments. You create detailed work orders about these jobs and dispatch technicians according to their skillset and schedule availability. Highly attentive, you maintain the on-call schedule for our techs and set appointments accordingly.

When you're not dispatching techs, you're helping update and maintain our customers' files and information. You make a note about any jobs that require parts we don't currently have, then reach back out to the client after we receive the equipment. After scheduling a job, you prepare service invoices and collect the appropriate payments, making bank deposits when necessary. Eager to support the team, you perform other tasks around the office as needed to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. You feel great about being incredibly helpful and take pride in keeping our business functioning!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP - TECHNICIAN DISPATCHER

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of experience with dispatching, Customer Service, or project management OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft Office applications

• Strong geographical knowledge of our service area OR ability to accurately read maps

Plumbing or HVAC industry knowledge would be beneficial but isn't required for this dispatch position. Are you a clear and effective communicator?
