We are looking for full-time Landscape Maintenance Customer Service Managers in Meridian, ID who have experience with and will:

·       Maintain relationships with clients to assure account retention.

·       Manage maintenance crews to achieve the highest levels of productivity and quality.

·       Be the lead on communications between customers and Avalon’s office.

·       The landscape Customer Service Representative is the primary customer contact for contracted accounts within the Commercial Landscape Management Department. This position clearly communicates contract specifications to Avalon clients and works in conjunction with production to perform services in a profitable manner.

·       Conduct monthly quality control assessments of work on clients' sites.

·       Communicate closely with Director of Operations to provide documentation from site visits.

·       Planning of daily routes for all services provided under the umbrella of the appointed Book of Business.

·       Timely response and proposal on leads provided by clients, website, or Director of Operations (within Book of Business).

·       Complete requests within 7 days and for more involved proposals, support of the Director of Operations may be needed.

·       Provide proper and adequate scheduling of maintenance crews to ensure project schedules are met.

·       Monitor work performance and productivity of maintenance crews to ensure policies, procedures, safety, and quality standards are maintained.

·       Assist with development, training, and recruiting your maintenance teams by using resources at your disposal.

·       Work with the Field Supervisor to ensure crews launch on time daily and confirm that they have all the necessary tools, equipment, and personnel for their daily tasks.

·       Prepare, develop, and execute enhancement proposals for clients.

·       Oversee project schedules for timeliness and the highest quality standards.

·       Implements and ensures all OSHA safety standards are followed on each job site.

·       Ensure all crew members assigned understand the job, safety issues and day to day safety operations.

·       Interfaces with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of maintenance materials.

·       Communicate with Association Managers and attend meetings when requested. These meetings can be in the evenings from time to time and are required if requested.

·       Respond in a timely manner to customers and vendors.

·       Expected to understand irrigation and water management to make adjustment or diagnose when needed.

·       Irrigation Technician Supervisor will take instruction from the Customer Service Representative. Delegating responsibilities to other members of the Avalon Water Management Division.

·       All accidents are properly documented and reported immediately.

·       Customer Service Representative should obtain and/or maintain 15 credits every 2 years for Ornamental Herbicide and Laws and Safety Certifications issued by the Idaho Department of Agriculture and continue finding education surrounding horticulture.

·       Must maintain personal appearance, workspace and company provided vehicle.

·       Practice good time management and respect the needs of your fellow colleagues.

·       Hours will range up to 50 hours a week with the occasional exception.  Expected to work the hours needed within the week to keep matters on schedule and on time.  

·       During the winter months, this position requires to have the proper Avalon employees in the right positions to execute Winter Services in a timely and professional manner.

·       Position is not exempt from Winter Services when the company needs labor if the proper positions within the company have not been filled. 

·       Ensures that Avalon employees are knowledgeable of mobile time tracking.

·       Review daily time entries within the company’s CRM to ensure that times and payroll are accurate prior to processing.

·       Issue “Purchase Receipts” for projects to have accurate job costing.

·       Invoices for projects will be reviewed weekly and allocated to the proper projects for Director of Operations review.

·       Ensures that all purchase orders, credit card expense reports, vendor tickets and receipts are turned into the office in a timely manner.

·       Works with the Office Manager, General Manager, and Director of Operations to monitor the “Work In Progress” and P&L on a monthly basis to examine cost analysis.

·       It is the responsibility of this position to work in junction with the Accounting Department on aging receivables. The current Book of Business is all that is required from this position.

Applicants must:

  • have 1-3 years of experience managing construction projects and/or teams
  • have in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
  • Irrigation, chemical applications, and cost control methods.
  • have strong mathematical and communication skills
  • be able to read and communicate plans, drawings, and blueprints
  • pass a background check and drug screen
  • maintain a regular, dependable attendance record
  • be able to work variable hours which may include weekends, holidays and overtime
  • be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions
  • OH and LS licenses are not required but preferred as the position will require these within 4 months of the acceptance of the application.
