Greets and assists patrons at Great Outdoors Water Park. Accepts payment for entrance fees, pass sales, and reservations, etc.
Essential Functions
The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive:
Assist guests on the dock entering and exiting boats at the Waneka Lake Boat House. Clean and sanitize work areas, public areas, and concession stand. Read and follow directions. Perform related work as required and assigned.
Typical Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of arithmetic and spelling. Proper food handling and beverage service, running a cash register, making change and thorough knowledge of all areas within a concession stand. Basic knowledge of food preparation and arrangement of food and Public Health Regulations.
SKILL: Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment necessary to perform the functions of the job in preparing and serving food and Customer Service.
ABILITY: Work in a highly visible work environment; interact with customers of varying ages, learn office procedures, deal tactfully and pleasantly with the public, operate a cash register and office equipment, handle money, make simple mathematical calculations, prioritize multiple requests for service, provide quality Customer Service, and function independently with minimal supervision. Work weekends and holidays. Plan and prepare quality foods for small to large groups of people in an efficient manner and to adhere to and enforce Public Health Regulations.
TRAINING: No specific requirement.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in similar environment preferred; previous work managing computer cash register and money preferred, food handling or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Each person who works in the Concessions area will complete the following online program prior to working in the Concession area or within 1 week of working. The course is online and can be completed from any web-access device. The time spent passing this course will be paid with their hourly rate.
Seasonal employees are entitled to a free Recreation Center pass while they are active.

- Responsible for collection of entry fees to the Great Outdoors Water Park and/or Waneka Lake Boathouse, including handling cash, making change, and balancing cash register.
- May act as receptionist directing individuals to proper locations, collecting fees, providing information, monitor slide area activity, and generally assist the public.
- Prepare and deliver food to the concession window and concession patio.
- Assist in beverage and food inventory control:
- Order all beverages and supplies needed for the concession operation
- Receive and stock beverages and supplies
