Role Summary
As a CIAM Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of our cutting-edge authentication solutions and API integrations. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of Java programming and your expertise in open authentication standards to build secure and scalable systems that meet our clients' needs. What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable full-stack solutions using Java technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement open authentication standards such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth into customer-facing applications and integrate with Identity & Access Management platforms such as Okta.
  • Develop secure APIs and integrate them with external systems and third-party services.
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of our applications through thorough testing and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to authentication and API integrations.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, sharing your knowledge and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Strong experience delivering Customer IAM (Okta CIS/CIC) implementations - this is a must!
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer is a plus, with a strong focus on Java development, or also open to experience using .Net, or Angular.
  • Okta Developer Certified is a plus
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with open authentication standards such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
  • Extensive knowledge of API development and integration, including RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Ansible) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
