Mölnlycke, a medical device manufacturer in Wiscasset, ME, is seeking a full-time Custodian/Maintenance Assistant for 1st Shift (8AM - 4PM) to perform custodial duties for office areas, common areas and other interior and exterior building related locations.

What we offer:

• Entry-level position with comprehensive, on-the-job paid training
• Work schedule:
• 8AM-4PM
• Monday - Friday
• Workdays and hours may vary depending on operational needs; occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
• $20.00 an hour to start
• $2.00 shift differential between the hours of 5:30pm to 5:30am
• PAID BREAKS!!!!

What you’ll do:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
• Cleaning and washing of floor carpets in entry ways and hallways.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty communal trash receptacles and recycling receptacles to include cleaning receptacles as necessary.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture.
• Clean windowsills and windows
• Maintain custodial closets is a clean, safe and operable manner.
• Maintain custodial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Ability to properly label, dilute, use and dispose of all chemicals.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as outlined by the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for all tasks.
• Maintain vending closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Purchase cleaning and vending supplies as necessary.
• General maintenance of facility and facility grounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

What you’ll need:

• Prior experience with use of custodial equipment and basic hand tools
• Pre-employment physical, background check, and at least 2 professional references required
• Experience of working in an ISO controlled and/or FDA regulated environment.
• Proven track record of being reliable and dependable
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working in a team-based environment with a positive, can-do attitude
• Good reading comprehension with an ability to follow written work instructions and standard procedures
• Ability to lift & carry 50lbs and work in standing positions throughout the workday
