Job Description: Shop Custodian/Forklift Operator

Department: Crossdock Operations Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Dock Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Shop Custodian/Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly dock environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep shop in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform routine cleaning duties such as:
• Restroom Cleaning
• Sweeping
• Dusting
• Forklift Operation as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
• Some lifting, up to 25 pounds, may be required

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields. Forklift experience is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Basic computer skills and abilities to operate and utilize current diagnostic tools.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid work history and quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Forklift experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

You will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements such as but not limited to, wearing a reflective vest, shirt, or jacket, and steel toe shoes or shoe coverings when needed. You will also need to maintain any and all safety certifications and standards necessary as set by management.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
