Position: Custodian/ Janitorial

Employee Type: Full-Time -1st Shift

This position is operationally responsible for all janitorial duties related to daily cleaning tasks of the new state of the art facility. The primary objective is to provide great quality work and use proper cleaning techniques in order to meet highest expectations related to responsibilities and functions listed below.

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team of custodians that clean both Manufacturing and Office areas with extra attention to detail

• Work actively within an organization to ensure that the facility always looks clean and well kept
• Follow thorough procedures related to cleaning and maintaining different office furniture surfaces
• Maintain glass partitions, mirrors, windows
• Prepare cleaning solutions, according to manufacturers specifications
• Clean Buildings by emptying trash, recycling bins and taking to designated areas
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming, cleaning floors and carpets. Stripping, waxing, buffing as needed.
• Routine application of floor sealant, polishing and buffing will be required to some surfaces
• Use Cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces if needed with designated cleaning methods
• Service, clean, disinfect restrooms to include but not limited to cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, floors, trash, lockers, mirrors, etc.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, to prepare facilities for events and functions
• Assist in other basic general maintenance duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to actively listen, convey, and follow detailed instructions
• Great attention to detail, minimum of 2 years’ experience performing essential duties with highest standards
• Well versed in using cleaning equipment; vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, floor stripping and cleaning compounds
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Driver’s license required
• Must be highly motivated and work well with little supervision
• Willing to work overtime when necessary
