THE POSITION

Are you interested in showcasing your managerial skill set? The Hiram G. Andrews Center, is seeking a dedicated Custodial Work Supervisor to complete our team. This position gives you the opportunity to supervise custodial personnel engaged in providing custodial services for staff, students, and tenants. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will utilize your managerial skills as you supervise staff performing custodial and domestic duties in specific locations of the Hiram G. Andrews Center. Supervisory duties include preparing work schedules, creating specific work assignments, managing inventory, and inspecting work areas. You will have the opportunity to work with department managers to prepare equipment lists as well as train new employees and current staff on the latest materials, methods, practices, and operational procedures of the unit.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Custodial Worker 2 (commonwealth title); or
  • Two years of experience performing Custodial Work.

Other Requirements:

  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
