The University is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Part Time Custodial Technician. Hours for this position are as follows: Monday- Friday 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Overtime as needed.
Primary Function: The Custodial Technician is responsible for the cleaning of buildings, exam rooms, cafeteria, offices, classrooms and grounds of college properties, whether owned or leased.
Qualified candidates will possess the following credentials:
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Five years general building cleaning experience.
- One year of carpet and floor care experience.
- The ability to work on ladders, scaffolding or another elevated lifting platform device.
Skills and Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment, materials and furniture of up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to operate carpet cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment used such as carpet cleaning equipment, polishers, scrubbers, etc. Valid driver's license in state of residence with an acceptable driving record for those hired after May 1, 2005
- Knowledge of cleaning solutions and their proper use.
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently.
