Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Lead Curriculum Coordinator
NETC is seeking a Lead Curriculum Coordinator to serve as a liaison and resource to NETC faculty, staff, administration, and external stakeholders to enhance organizational efficiency and contribute to the continual improvement of educational programs at NETC. The Coordinator oversees the collaborative effort of specialists, ensuring streamlined communication, and maintaining a comprehensive master log of all curriculum changes. Supports curriculum development through the stackable credential model at the college and serves as a member of the NETC Center for Teaching and Innovation to inspire quality, innovation, and best practices.
  • Serves as liaison and resource to NETC faculty, staff, administration, and external stakeholders on curriculum requirements. Works collaboratively with NETC faculty, staff, and administration to advise and ensure curricular development aligns with the strategic needs to support the mission of the college and complies with the rules and policies of the State of South Carolina Technical College System, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and industry certification/credential requirements.
  • Serves as Lead Curriculum Coordinator at NETC, effectively guiding and coordinating a team of curriculum specialists. Oversees the collaborative efforts of curriculum specialists ensuring streamlined communication and maintaining a comprehensive master log of all curriculum changes for the Center for Teaching and Innovation.
  • Develops curriculum in alignment with NETC stackable credentials and program goals, student pathways, transferability, industry certifications, and career/technical education. Assists faculty and staff in crafting learning outcomes through course or department objectives; assists faculty with degree, diploma, certificate, and course design ensuring stackable credential alignment and quality course proposals with OER resources identified; reviews submitted proposals; provides feedback to submitting faculty, Dean, and Curriculum Committee. Works collaboratively to ensure that advising is aligned with program and industry certification requirements, course technical specifications, catalog publication and graduation requirements, software system needs, and compliance issues.
  • Supports curriculum development through the stackable credential model at the college. Supports college initiatives related to new program development, multimodality offerings, and program alignment, ensuring student success. Supports benchmark research for development of new programs, including feasibility, quality, impact assessments, sector strategies, and labor market research, collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts and drawing on state and national data sources.
  • Serves as a member of the NETC Center for Teaching and Innovation to inspire quality, innovative, industry-leading education among all faculty, adjuncts, and Dual Enrollment instructors of Northeastern Technical College through use of best practices and cutting-edge technology. Plans and implements professional development activities. Serves on task forces and assists with educational planning events, such as DACUM occupational analysis and curriculum design charrettes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A master's degree in education or another directly related field and experience in curriculum development. Must have a valid driver's license.
NETC Preferred Requirements: A master's degree in education or another directly related field and experience in curriculum development.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of principles and procedures of curriculum development. Knowledge of developments and trends in, and theories related to, educational processes. Knowledge of methods and philosophies of education research and their application to specialized curriculum areas. Knowledge of diagnostic and evaluation methods utilized in specialized curriculum areas. Skilled in the development and preparation of instructional aids. Ability to plan, coordinate and direct programs designed to supplement and improve curricula. Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to prepare and present reports, as well as meet time-sensitive deadlines. Ability to integrate new technology into curricula. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to develop guidelines for curriculum development and encourage participant involvement.
Additional Comments
Employee will be housed in the NETC Center for Teaching and Innovation and will report to the VP of Institutional Advancement. Employee will be expected to work closely with the College Administration and Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Some overnight travel will be required to attend professional conferences and peer group meetings.

NETC is a qualified employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time at NETC. To qualify for PSLF, you must:
  • be employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization (federal service includes U.S. military service)
  • work full-time for that agency or organization
  • have Direct Loans (or consolidate other federal student loans into a Direct Loan)
  • repay your loans under an income-driven repayment plan*
  • make 120 qualifying payments
