About the Team

The Culture and Communications team plays an important role in fostering engagement, effective communication and culture development within the organization. We focus on strengthening relationships both internally and externally through the planning and execution of ACA events, corporate communications, culture development and community involvement. Our team is a huge contributor to recognition strategies for our associates, leading initiatives to support ACA's Success Stories and Guiding Principles All Star Award program.

 

About the Role

The Culture and Communications Coordinator works closely with key stakeholders on the HR team and across the organization to develop and design corporate communications and campaigns to support department objectives. Culture and engagement are the pinnacle of ACA's success. If you are a dynamic culture champion, ACA may be a match for you.  

 

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute new and ongoing communications about programs, events, and important information within the organization.
  • Facilitate the design, copy, and production of internal communications and content.
  • Design digital signage and written communication for all levels of the organization including the executive office.
  • Plan and execute events for associates creating a world class experience.
  • Collaborate across the Culture and Development Team to ensure proper planning and execution of the corporate events calendar. 
  • Partner with community organizations to create volunteer experiences with associates.
  • Work closely with external vendors and internal department leaders to manage the development, production, and distribution of ACA branded promotional and collateral materials.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, Human Resources, or similar degree; or equivalent work experience in similar roles.
  • 2+ years of corporate communications and event planning experience highly preferred.  
  • Design skills with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Photoshop, etc.), SharePoint, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Zoom a plus.
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to create communications for all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and storytelling abilities. Able to understand and publish the voice of executives.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to work independently, prioritize and meet demands in a timely manner.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about creating incredible cultural experiences for associates.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly visible role by building relationships across the organization.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.

 

100% onsite role in Spartanburg, SC

 

Must be able to commute to office or willing to relocate.

 

Travel

This position will require up to 10% travel.
