Sonoran Roots is looking for multiple motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Cultivation Production Staff (Contractor), working alongside our Dry/Cure and Cultivation teams.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Each Cultivation team member is responsible for the cleanliness of their assigned flower room and the overall cultivation area. This job breaks down into two functions: 20-30% indoor farming/70-80% janitorial and facility maintenance. Punctuality and reliability are absolutely necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion.

Each Dry/Cure team member is responsible for the harvest and cure of plants grown by the cultivation team. This job breaks down into multiple functions including, but not limited to, harvest, hanging and bin storage, processing, curing, and compliance. Frequent travel between facilities is required. Consistency of a high-integrity work ethic and dependability are absolutely necessary as a member of the Dry/Cure team.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - CULTIVATION PRODUCTION STAFF:

Arrive at the scheduled facility for your shift 15 minutes early.

Hang freshly harvested marijuana plants in an organized and sanitary manner.

Monitor plants throughout the dry/cure process ( hanging and bin storage, analysis of product throughout process).

Process marijuana plants ( take down & break down plants, separate bins by product type, prepare fresh frozen & dry/cure material for extraction, etc.).

Must be able to maintain an average company standard for processed bins.

Maintain equipment stations in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.

Assist in related work such as inventory, product preparation, trimming, sanitary practices, waste protocols, cleaning of tools and facility, etc.

Learn and uphold product quality standards.

Understand, abide by, and enforce AZ Department of Health Services ("AZDHS") rules, regulations, and compliance standards.

Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.

Complete daily checklists of tasks with efficiency and precision.

Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional working environment.

Safely and compliantly move cannabis products throughout the facility.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.

Assisting the cultivation team with rooms as needed.

Harvesting and processing finished flower as directed.

Responsible and reliable travel between cultivation locations.

Each cultivation team member is responsible for the cleanliness of their assigned space and the overall cultivation area.

Punctuality and reliability are absolutely necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion.

Defoliation of plants at specified intervals

Maintenance of assigned cultivation room i.e., housekeeping and equipment checks.

Plant training to ensure even canopy spacing.

Monitoring water content and environmental parameters of the assigned room.

Assisting the tenured Cultivation and Dry/Cure Staff members with rooms as needed.

Facility maintenance and janitorial duties as scheduled.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

You will have the opportunity to work in the department and secure a W2 position after a 30-day contractor onboarding period.

Job Type: Starting Contract, 40 hours per week

Pay Rate: From $15.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Ability to lift 15+ pounds as needed.
  • Quick learner and willing to be coachable and flexible with work tasks.
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.
  • Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions.
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do.
  • Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.
  • Reliable transportation.
