Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Culinary Administrative Assistant to join our team. The Culinary Administrative Assistant will provide crucial administrative support to our culinary team, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the culinary team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff.
- Organize and maintain spreadsheets and documents related to catering events.
- Organize and distribute event email communication.
- Assist in checking culinary inbox and customer requests and convey changes to the culinary teams.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to culinary operations.
- Assist with scheduling and managing calendars for culinary staff.
- Assist with food safety and sanitation compliance, including maintaining records and monitoring temperature logs.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies, tracking deliveries, and maintaining stock levels.
- Coordinate communication between the culinary team and other departments within the organization.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and food costing as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the culinary leadership team.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma /GED required, Associates degree in hospitality management, communications or other related field is preferred
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a culinary or hospitality setting.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task; managing multiple projects and work assignment
- Ability to handle last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of events
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.
- Passion for food and hospitality industry is desirable.
