Definition of position :
- The Dual-Modality Technologist delivers high quality CT and X-Ray exams to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Independently performs CT and X-Ray procedures, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. This role supports outpatient and inpatient settings with a variable schedule.
- Performs quality CT and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams and procedures as requested by medical staff.
- Operates with limited supervision, while maintaining high attention to detail, customer needs, and high reliability.
- Assists medical staff in other departments during exams and procedures as necessary and appropriate.
- Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
- Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
- Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
- Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
- Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
- Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent, and documented competencies in Radiology and CT
- Montana Licensure (Radiologic Technologist)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification in CT
- American Heart Association BLS within 90 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of previous radiology experience
- Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in health care related studies
