Position: CTE Teacher - Business
Schedule: A teacher is this role will work a unique schedule from 10:00am - 5:30pm.
Calendar: 180-Day
Rate: 1.0 FTE
Notes: This position is for the 23/24 school year.
It is our desire at Walker that, in everything we do, we find ways to create hope, inspire potential, and ultimately work to change the lives of students that attend our school. The Walker High School Open doors program is currently looking for an enthusiastic CTE Business teacher that can engage students that feel disengaged from school. This teacher will work with a variety of students from across the region.
Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate 3 years full-time occupational experience-based endorsements:
- V141000 experience in one of the following: science, engineering, technology, or mathematics.
- V078000 Business and Marketing Education Degree and 2000 hours Occupational Experience other than teaching
- V100100 Communication Technologies: Experience in one or more of the following: TV production, radio production, or audio/visual media production, graphic communication work including press work, lithographic equipment and operations, desktop, publishing, or web design, commercial photography)
- V500400 Experience in commercial art and wearable art. Creating, producing, and selling products including glass, metal, clay, textiles, wood, polymers, mixed media, etc.
- V521206 Experience with computer software, word, spreadsheets, data bases, web page design, network management, computer repair or computer programming.)
- V080301 Entrepreneurship: Ownership and operation of self-owned business.
- V520100 Business Management: Management level business experience.
- V521401 Management Marketing: Management level experience in retail or marketing operation; marketing director.
- V100100 Communication Technologies: Experience in one or more of the following: TV production, radio production, or audio/visual media production, graphic communication work including press work, lithographic equipment and operations, desktop, publishing, or web design, commercial photography)
- V500400 Experience in commercial art and wearable art. Creating, producing, and selling products including glass, metal, clay, textiles, wood, polymers, mixed media, etc.
Additional Requirements:
Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification.
