CT Tech - Radiology and Cardiology

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. As a CT Tech, you will play a crucial role in performing high-quality CT scans for accurate diagnoses. Your expertise in operating CT equipment and your commitment to patient care will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional medical imaging services.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the CT scan, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
• Position patients accurately for optimal image quality, adhering to proper radiation safety protocols.
• Administer contrast agents as necessary for enhanced imaging, following established guidelines.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate image acquisition.
• Evaluate images for quality and clarity, identifying any artifacts or inconsistencies.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient information, procedures performed, and contrast usage.
• Calibrate and maintain CT equipment to ensure proper functionality and image quality.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assist in patient transportation and transfer as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid CT Technologist certification or registration.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficient in operating CT equipment and associated software.
• Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and protocols.
