ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for facilitating coaching sessions with individuals and groups involved in FICW-GROW Center programming. As a Competency & Skills Development Coach's key focuses include delivering developmental focused coaching to support the application of newly acquired skills and competencies to realistic practice. The Competency & Skills Development Coach will understand learning requirements of core programs to deliver coaching focused on the growth of essential skills and competencies. The Competency and Skills Development coach will respond to requests for coaching and manage a schedule of sessions to meet the needs of child welfare professionals.
Conduct one-on-one coaching with individuals to assist with effectively implementing newly acquired skills and competencies into their professional practice.
Maintain knowledge base of core skills and competencies required for child welfare front-line practice.
Develop personalized coaching plans tailored to each person’s unique goals and challenges.
Collaborate with individuals to set clear and achievable goals a regularly monitor progress.
Maintain consistent communication through regular check-ins and progress reviews.
Keep accurate records of coaching sessions, progress, and any agreed-upon action items.
Offer constructive feedback and encourage self-reflection to enhance skill acquisition and application.
QualificationsBachelor's degree and two years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field, Master's Degree Preferred. Two plus years' experience in child welfare, five plus years' experience preferred. Experience coaching, consulting and/or facilitate training sessions for child welfare professionals.
Knowledge of child welfare practices in Florida.
Ability to inspire and motivate individuals to unlock their full potential.
Familiarity with adult learning principles and various coaching models and frameworks to provide a solid foundation for coaching.
Proficient in facilitating workshops and group coaching sessions.
Comfortable using various collaboration tools, video conferencing platforms, and online resources.
Comfortable and proficient in conducting virtual coaching sessions and effectively working in a remote environment.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities to adeptly engage with learners.
Ability to build rapport with professionals at all levels and tailor coaching approaches to individual needs.
Commitment to staying updated on the latest trends and industry best practice to bring fresh insight to coaching sessions.
Strong organizational and time management skills to balance multiple coaching engagements.
Committed to ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in coaching relationships.

The anticipated salary for this position will be low $50,000's, commensurate with education and experience.
