Job duties:
  • The CSS Fiscal Technician II performs professional accounting duties in the creation and maintenance of accounting records for collection receipts from family courts in the State's book of record (SCEIS), reviews and reconciles child support collections from family court in IV-D system.

  • Using PACSS reports, query, research, and process held collections accurately and in a timely manner especially where deadlines or time limitations are enforced.

  • Monitor and adjust collections returned from the bank as Non Sufficient Funds(NSF) using the NSF Report. Post recoupment collections received by SDU and NPS. Retrieve and document recoupment repayment letters pertaining to reversed collections.

  • Research and adjust collections that did not identify or disburse via automation in a timely manner to minimize the amount of held money in PACSS.
  • Understand and exercise data security and confidentiality with regards to the transfer, disclosure, and management of all client and employee personal information. Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed; protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty or services as directed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Agency:
A master's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management, or public administration; a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management or public administration
A bachelor's degree in any field and one (1) year of financial experience
An associate degree and three (3) years of financial experience; or a High School Diploma and five (5) years of financial experience.
