Department Description
The packaging department is responsible for packing all of the healthy, fresh-prepared meals at fit-flavors. We use components that are cooked by the kitchen department to assemble each meal. Our team works in an organized assembly line that helps us ensure the quality standards are met with each meal we prepare. Our meals are then sealed and labeled by a Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) machine that keeps them fresh for up to 15 days!
Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Cross-Functional Packaging Associate who is willing and ready to dive into our NEW Cross-Training Program (after 90 days of employment). Our cross-training program is an opportunity to master all foundation roles of the packaging process, including Packaging, Expediting, Machine Mapping, and Machine Banding.
In the Packaging role, you will learn how to efficiently assemble each meal on our seasonally-rotating menu. This is the foundation of success in the packaging department. The Expediting role is all about planning, preparing, and maintaining all component supply to ensure smooth flow on the packaging floor, leading to efficient output. Mapping and Banding are the machine processes that allow our meals to have an extended shelf life of up to 15 days. These machines require advanced knowledge.
Successfully completing the cross-training program allows you to earn more, become more flexible in the department, and opens the door to continued opportunities within fit-flavors.
If you excel in the initial four roles of our training program, are eager to advance in our company, and align well with our company culture, you can apply for the opportunity to continue to the advanced stage of our cross-training program. In this advanced stage, you'll have the chance to keep boosting your earnings as you master key positions like Floor Lead and Trainer.
