The Crisis Services Case Manager supports both the Walk-In Center and the Mobile Crisis Team is ensuring completion of numerous functions required to ensure high quality client care. This position provides client services and assists with administrative duties.

The person in this position needs to be familiar with principles of trauma-informed care. Responsibilities include answering crisis phones, serving as co-therapist on mobile crisis calls, assisting with bed searches, greeting clients, completing pre-admissions, faxing information to other providers, and meeting with clients at the WIC as approved by supervisor.

This position will work overnight, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Mon - Friday. 

 Essential Duties:

  • Shares responsibility with team for answering phones and initiating follow-up phone calls.
  • Serves as co-therapist on mobile crisis calls as directed by supervisor or lead clinician.
  • Completes initial documentation for clients coming to the Walk-In Center
  • Meets face-to-face with crisis clients as approved by supervisor.
  • Obtains collateral information from family, significant others, and other providers as appropriate.
  • Assists with bed searches for clients needing 24-hour care.
  • Completes pre-admissions as needed.
  • Links clients to needed follow-up services as appropriate.
  • Sends and receives faxes from and to other behavioral health providers.
  • Completes documentation in compliance with Jefferson Center guidelines.
  • Participates in supervision, training, and team meetings as directed.
  • Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.
  • Maintains effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors and the general public.

Other Duties:

  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Ability to attend meetings at a variety of locations, either in person or virtually.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in counseling, psychology or related field required.
  • Two years of related experience and/or training working with mental health clients required.
  • Previous crisis experience preferred
  • Meets the requirements of applicable federal, state and organizational background checks.
  • Motor Vehicle Insurance Coverage requires applicant must be 25 years or older. Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving record as determine by our insurance carrier. An MVR will be pulled along with a background check.

Salary Grade 50- Bachelor’s Degree (Case Manager) $39,100 to $49,800* (Additional 10% added to base salary for crisis program.)

Bonus-$1,000 @ 1 month anniversary*

Additional Salary Information*:

  • All salaries at Jefferson Center are calculated based on years of total relevant experience.*
  • The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.* 
  • *Additional pay provided for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
