Crisis Advocate - 3Rd Shift

Caring, compassionate and willing to grow? If yes, we want you to our team as a 3rd ShiftCrisis Advocate. You will make a difference by supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. In this role, you will respond to crisis intervention, work in our shelter, answer our 24/7 helpline, and responding to victims at the hospital and alongside local law enforcement.

This position will also be responsible for data entry, filing, and reporting.

This is an overnight awake position, and individuals must be willing to work 10:00 pm - 8:00 am Thursday - Monday.

Candidates must model and promote attitudes of non-violence, anti-oppression, inclusiveness, and power-sharing in all facets of their position. Be an outspoken voice against violence against women and children, teen dating violence, sexual assault, rigid gender roles, and norms of masculinity within the community through conversation, training, social media, and one-on-one conversations.

Experience:

• Ability to work sensitively with traumatized populations and to handle crisis effectively.
• Knowledge and sensitivity to the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault
• Excellent judgment, and an ability to exercise discretion and tact in difficult or confidential situations.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability. This position requires problem-solving, and making decisions individually and within a team.
• Ability to work with both youth and adults with a commitment to and experience in working with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds and lifestyles.
• Able to use stairs frequently and lift and carry up to 20 pounds
• Driver’s License and clean driving record required
• Bilingual a plus

Pay: $44,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
