KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ravn Alaska Crew Scheduler, Crew Controller reports to the Manager of Crew Scheduling and is responsible for managing and maintaining current monthly crew schedules. Other responsibilities aligned with Ravn Alaska Core Values include but are not limited to:
- Upholding safety by ensuring all flights are legally staffed, both same day and three days forecasted, while adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Promoting safety by identifying and reporting safety hazards in the work environment or when confronted with an unsafe situation. Promotes a positive Safety Culture with co-workers and supports the organization in compliance with Safety Management System (SMS);
- Demonstrating commitment to excellence by running daily crew-related reports to ensure staffing solutions are within corporate key performance indicators (KPI’s) and verifying Flight Times and SkedFlex are aligned while monitoring part 117 Federal aviation Regulations (FAR) and required Rest Rules.
- Maintaining integrity while working closely with and engaging in impartial working relationships with all coworkers.
- Embodying the spirit of connectedness by working closely with Dispatch and Ops Control to address IROP’s situations.
- Increasing reliability of operations by ensuring adequate reserve staffing to protect the operation of short notice removals from schedule, including assisting Crew Planning/Administration with monthly Bid Awards as needed.
- Showing commitment to improving operations through auditing monthly crew schedules, including Fatigue Reports, FDP Extensions, Flight, duty & rest violations, and Pilot in Command (PIC) Flight Times.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication and computer skills, and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Other qualifications include:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must maintain a high level of organizational skills and have a strong attention to detail.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and manager multiple priorities and deadlines, working multiple flight departures at once.
- Must be able to follow directions and ask questions when appropriate.
- Must display a professional demeanor when collaborating with all departments and roles within the organization.
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
- Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
