Crew Member

Seasonal Position (May - October)

Fun & exciting environment right along the Chicago River! We are looking for someone to start in May and work until the end of the boating season (October). Crew members are expected to be available for late nights and weekends.

ENVIRONMENT:

Energetic and hardworking company. Crew members work alongside our team of managers, assistant managers, and fellow Crew Members. You would be working on the Chicago River at one of our 3 locations (downtown Chicago, Roscoe Village)

We are in search of motivated Crew Members to assist with boat rentals while working in a fun and exciting environment. As a Crew Member, you will work closely with managers, office staff, and other Crew Members to create the best experience for all customers.

DESCRIPTION:

• Greet customers as they arrive
• Assist in the check-in process
• Assist with carrying food and drink to the boat
• Perform Orientations on how to properly & safely operate the boat
• Clean boats between reservations and take out trash
• Keep Marina and company areas clean
• Deep clean and maintain boats
• Be the main point of contact for customers
• Miscellaneous tasks to assist in everyday business operations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Local to the Chicagoland area (or a new resident/planning a move to the area)
• Available to work the entire boating season (approximately May-October depending on weather)
• Comfortable with an active/outdoor position
• Work weekends and able to work late hours
• Reliable
• Must be able to swim and comfortable working around water
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be comfortable operating a small electric boat
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Timely
• Excellent customer service skills
• Quick Learner
• Must be US Citizen or authorized to work in the US

PREFERENCES:

• Boating experience is preferred but not required
• Strives under pressure/in fast-paced environments

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

• 2 rounds of interviews are held for this position
• The first interview is typically virtual through Google Meets
• The second interview will be held in person, you may be asked to test drive one of our boats

This is a tipped position. The starting hourly wage is $14.
