Hot Chix is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Crew Member to join our culinary team. As a Crew Member, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation of ingredients, contributing to the success of Hot Chix's signature fried chicken dishes. Responsibilities:

1. Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients according to Hot Chix's recipes and portion control guidelines. Prepare and season chicken for frying according to Hot Chix recipes and standards.

2. Recipe Adherence: Follow standardized recipes to prepare and assemble components for various menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.

3. Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of prepped ingredients, to facilitate an efficient kitchen workflow.

4. Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, communicating effectively to coordinate the preparation of ingredients based on the menu requirements.

5. Quality Control: Conduct visual and sensory checks on ingredients to ensure freshness and quality, reporting any concerns to the kitchen manager.

6. Sanitation and Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of ingredients, to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

7. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards, keeping workstations, utensils, and equipment clean and organized. Follow proper food safety protocols.

8. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels of prepped ingredients, notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages or excesses.

9. Efficiency and Time Management: Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet the demands of a fast-paced kitchen, especially during peak hours.

10. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate cooking times for various menu items and contribute to a smooth kitchen workflow.

11. Frying Operations: Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment to cook chicken to perfection, ensuring consistent quality.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in food preparation in a restaurant or similar setting.

2. Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food safety practices.

3. Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately.

4. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

5. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

6. Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

7. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.

9. Knowledge of frying techniques and experience with deep fryers.

10. Proven experience as a Fry Cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

11. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Culinary degree or relevant certification.

2. Previous experience in a similar fast casual or fried chicken restaurant.

3. Familiarity with Hot Chix's menu and brand.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
